PERIODIC PERFORMANCE REVIEW (PPR)
If your lab's accreditation falls under the Joint
Commission, Periodic Performance Reviews need to be performed
every other year, alternating with on-site inspections. The
tool for the PPR is the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual
for Laboratory and Point of Care Testing (camlab).
Hiring LAC to manage your PPR ensures a thorough, unbiased
review. Our Periodic Performance Review service includes:
- Reviewing the level of compliance to every Element of
Performance (EP) of every Standard using the current camlab.
The review includes policies, process descriptions, procedure
manuals, bench level tasks, walk through inspections, and
one-to-one and group discussions.
- Grading the level of compliance for each EP according
to the requirements set forth by the Joint Commission:
- "0"-Insufficient Compliance
- "1"-Partial Compliance
- "2"-Satisfactory Compliance
- Not Applicable
- Analysis of each deficiency and providing recommendations
for process improvement where indicated.
- Assisting you in submitting the PPR report to the Joint
Commission on time.
- Optional written report of all PPR findings requiring
process improvements, including related recommendations
to achieve full compliance. This report includes the nature
and extent of non-compliance, identifies process improvement
measures to correct deficiencies (Plan of Action), and establishes
parameters to assess the degree of success (known as Measure
of Success, or MOS). This report will be submitted within
one month after PPR completion. For many clients, this report
comes to serve as a reference manual not only during the
time preceding inspection, but also after the inspection
for daily Quality Management.
